By the ferry(this ferry was contributed by Hiroshima prefecture), I visited Oshima. was 3rd time.
First I saw the big ferries pushed up to the land by Tsunami.

The mountain made of rubbles, decreasing size day by day.
But still huge, will take long time until clean up completely.

Can you believe this?
The big 2 ferries and 2 boats with big pier made of concrete…
were pushed up by huge tsunami to the center of island once.

And back-wave pulled them back to near the port.

Shining, silent ocean. I felt very beautiful.
But local people says “before the Tsunami, it was more more beautiful”.
I agree with him. It must be more great landscape.

We still have much work…
it needs continuous help!

All of buildings had broken.
There were a shopping street, can you believe that?

The other side view. This is east side.
Tsunami came from east and went through this road and reached the west side ocean.
Big wave penetrated completely through the island. It’s really hard to imagine.

From the top of island “KAME-YAMA”.
The ocean is very beautiful, looks silent.
I really like this island…
