動物を追って、ひたすらに森を歩いてきた。
今ようやく、少しだけ森そのものを見ることができるように
なってきたような気がする。
それを撮る視点を得るのは、まだまだ先だろう。

知床の山桜。

5月。新緑の気配を感じる頃、知床には桜が美しく咲く。
道東で生活している時、動物を追う合間に、よく見上げていた色だ。
東京で桜並木の前に住んでいた自分にとって、それは、新鮮な風景だった。
Cherry blossom in the trees.
in Japan, you can see SomeiYoshino-most popular kind of Sakura- even in big city.
but, sometimes you can find other kind of cherry blossom on the mountain.
between other trees, other colors like fresh green , Sakura color looks so beautiful.
We call this kind of Sakura, Yama-Zakura. I like this.

ヒグマがよく通る山肌に、淡く咲くヤマザクラたち。
クマも樹上の花を、見上げることはあるのだろうか。
