南東北、熊撃ち同行。

北海道から本州に上陸し、直接、南東北へ。
念願だった熊撃ちに同行させていただきました。

I went into the mountain with local hunters.

to find the black bears in the mountain.

追いかけたいが遠いままの主題が
思い返される季節だ。
their culture, their mind with killing and living together.

奥会津に思う冬。

今一番、会いたい人、撮りたい人。

…夏も終わって冬を意識し始める。
今年の撮影活動は、彼の猟についていくことから始まった。
奥会津のマタギ、昭夫さん。
ご迷惑をかけながら、写真以上に、たくさんの大切な経験をいただいた。
MATAGI -Japanese hunter with traditional style-, Mr. Akio Inomata.
He showed me the beauty of japanese nature, and strength of the people who living with this severe nature.
He's a great naturalist. I want to chase and photograph him for many years.
Thanks for giving this great chance.

奥会津のマタギに会いに。

2019年、最初の撮影は奥会津の猟師、アキオさん。
熊や鹿に猪…40年以上も山に獣を追い、
加えて日本ミツバチの養蜂やヒメマスの採卵事業などにも携わり
自然に深く関わって生きる人だ。

my first photography trip 2019 was in Fukushima prefecture.
trying to photograph the traditional hunting in Japan.
Mr. Akio calls himself "MATAGI".
it means "traditional hunter" in Japanese.
he knows various things about nature.
from the experiences of his senior, and his own.
this time I could not see the hunting any animals.
but I experienced something great.
