西へ出張。

The westernmost point in Japan. Nikon D800E + AF-S Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8G ED

ご無沙汰の更新になりました。
パキスタンから帰って数日、今度は日本の西の端、
与那国島へと取材へ行ってまいりました。

パキで撮った写真のセレクト、レイアウトの打ち合わせで慌しいままに
休む間もなく、イスラマバードで壊れた体を引きずってオキナワへ。
とてもハードでしたが、なかなかこんなチャンスはないですからね。

After the northern Pakistan,
I went to Japanese westernmost island YONAGUNI-JIMA（与那国島）.
It was also my work, not private trip.
So, it was very busy in island. But it was first time for me that I visit this island.
Ocean landscape, conversation with local fishermen...
Was really good experience for me.

Pray for South.

‎23th June,
Today, we should pray for south of Japan.
The memorial day of OKINAWA.

During WW II, many many persons are killed
by huge war in Okinawa Prefecture.

Never forget that.

今日は、南を向いて祈ろう。
オキナワ・慰霊の日。

第二次世界大戦の沖縄戦で組織的戦闘が終わったとされる日。
この日に全ての惨禍が終わったわけではないから、
僕はこの日から末日くらいまでは、そのことを胸にとどめて
暮らすようにしています。

何にも知らないけれど。
せめて忘れないように。
