癒しのワカサギ釣り。

すっかり暖かい好天の春の日。
網走湖へ、ワカサギ釣りに行ってきました。

This pic is the result of my first ice-fishing. :)
went to my first ice-fishing to Lake Abashiri(網走湖).
We call ice fishing Wakasagi-fishing.　Wakasagi is Japanese pond Smelt.

エゾシカを追って。

東京は、桜が開花したそうですね。八重山は、もう暑い日がやってきたとか。
ここ道東も、少しずつ雪が解け始め、春の気配が濃厚になってきました。
この季節、苦しい日々を過ごしているのがエゾシカです。
たぶん彼等にとって、一年で一番苦しい季節なのではないでしょうか。

『冬に飢えと闘う、エゾシカ達の表情を見たい』
というのが、僕の長年の目標の一つでした。
毎年夏や秋に知床に通っていた僕にとって、今年はまさにその願いを叶えるチャンス。
2月はほとんど動けなかったのですが、今月に入って少し動けるように。
時間を見つけては、エゾシカがいそうな場所をカメラ片手に徘徊しています。

Now, the snow-thaw season has come to northern Japan.
We can feel flavor of spring everyday.
But, for Ezo Deer, now is killer season. This wild animal is in hardest days of year.
They are struggling against starving.

I've wanted to see them in this season for a long time.
This year is great chance to do that because living in Hokkaido.
So, I tried to shoot winter of Ezo Deer sometimes.
They showed me stern & beautiful faces.

ちゅうじょうウォッチング。

ここんところ手頃に楽しませてもらっているのが『ももんがウォッチング』。
そうですエゾモモンガです。ももんが中将ですよ。

実は夏場から目をつけていた場所があって、
案の定、冬になると毎日のように観察できるようになりました。
寒くなると、何頭か集まってきて一つの巣で寝るんです。
おしくらまんじゅうですね。これもまたカワイイ生態です。

Recently, I often go Momonga-Watching.
Ezo-Momonga, --flying squirrel of Hokkaido-- is super cute animal.
In winter season, several momongas sleep in same place for avoiding cold.
So, it's easy to see them in winter.
Cold season is good season for momonga watching.

海鷲。

暖かくなり始めた根室海峡の静かな海。
ゆっくりと国後島の向こうから、真ん丸い太陽が姿を現すと
青白い流氷が、暖かい朝陽の色に染まっていきます。

と、いうわけで、先日は羅臼へ。
ぐずぐずして随分と遅くなってしまったのですが、
一度は見ておきたいということで、慌ただしく、一泊と半日で。
流氷撮影クルーズに乗ってみました。

Few days back, I went to Rausu, Shiretoko.
For the purpose of photographing eagles on Ryuhyo(drift ice).
In winter season, many Steller's sea eagles come to sea of Okhotsk.
Especially Nemuro strait which is covered with drift ice.

Coming spring.

柔らかい日差しに、青い空。
春ですね。
北見の町では、パキンと凍りついていた空気が湿り気を帯び始め、
路上の雪が柔らかくなってきています。

白い雪が跳ね返した陽の光を下から受けて
青い空に明るく映える木々の枝々がなんとも愛らしい。
こんなところにも北国の景色があるんですね。

さて季節の変わり目。色々なことがもどかしくて
陽射しの明るさとは裏腹に、さえない日常を送っています。
前に進まないとね。まぁそういう時期もあるでしょう。
ある意味、ずっとそうなのかもしれませんが。　:)
うん。そういうのともうまく付き合って、ぼちぼち頑張ろうと思います。


Now, here Hokkaido, getting warm day by day.
My birthday of this year was also fine & warming day.
Spring is coming.
I got so many messages wishing me a happy birthday.

I'm little bit nervous because my work is not going well.
But I'm happy, I'm Okay.
Take my time, walking ahead slowly.
And keep trying to photograph of fantastic Japanese northern nature!
