北海道遠征を終えて。

さて、年末、仕事に追われて更新が遅れましたが…。
12月下旬にようやく北海道遠征から東京の自宅に戻りました。
やはり3週間の遅れはどうしようもなく、メインの被写体においてはほぼ成果なしの遠征となってしまいました。
状況的にはすぐに諦めて引き返すべきかとも思いましたが、
色々なチャンスが巡ってきていた年なので、固執してしまい、こんなに長い遠征に。

I was back from photographing travel in Hokkaido.
It delayed 3 weeks by some circumstances.
So I missed all of big chances to photograph wild bears.
Missed only one chance in 10 years. It made me nervous.
But instead of that, I got various good things in this travel.
Especially personal connections.

本州とは違って、今年の北海道のドングリは強烈なまでに豊作だったようです。
動物達には恵みの秋だったことでしょう。
でもおかげで、ヒグマの居場所は絞れず、あてもなく森の中を歩き回ることに。
一月半程の北海道滞在中に、森を歩いた距離は200kmを超えるでしょう。
撮影はできなくとも、森の植生を意識することや、
地形的にも様々な発見があり、それは今後財産となると思います。

Few salmons, and huge amount of acorns and wild vine.
So, I couldn't find out the good place to wait the bears.
In this travelling days, I walked more than 200km in forest.
It must become great knowledge about chasing animals in the forest.

魚の多い時期には間に合わなかったのですが、定置網漁の撮影は、今年も貴重な経験となりました。
網上げという締めくくりを拝見できたのも、とても大きな経験です。
漁師の皆さん、今年もありがとうございました！

And I photographed fishermen on the ship in this year also.
It was great experience!

羅臼の番屋に在住の知人にお招きいただき、たくさんの方を紹介いただき
その日撃ったというカモの鍋やお手製のサーモンの燻製を頂いたのも最高のひと時！

Some parties had been held in local houses.
With good guys, alcohol and wild dishes.
It also made me super happy. :)

さらにUme君にも大変お世話になって、
たくさんの人を紹介いただいたり、縁を深めるきっかけを頂きました。

今回の遠征では、全てがうまくいかず、大きなチャンスを逃し
悶々として過ごしていましたが、たくさんの方と出会い、縁を少しずつ深め
なにか、これからの大きな繋がりとなっていきそうな、強い予感を感じています。
これはひょっとすると、とても幸せなことなのかもしれない。

撮影成果はありませんでしたが、
前向きに、嬉しくこの日々を捉え、次に繋げていきたいと思います。
ずっとお世話になった民宿のお父さんお母さん、ウトロ、ラウスの皆様。
それから遠くから応援してくれた皆さん、貴重な経験をいただきました。
本当にありがとうございました。

many fellows, various animals and great nature.
I couldn't get good pictures in this time.
But they gave me most important thing to me.
It will become best elements of my photography.
Photographing something takes long time.
I knew that this time. Thank you so much! ... & next year!!!
